Show Off Your Expertise Without Feeling Sleazy

Setting yourself up as an expert during your masterclass can be awkward.. It feels like equal parts humble brag and actual brag with a sprinkle of sales sleaze thrown in for good measure. ⁣

But you know you ARE the expert. You're just not wired to brag about it and you especially don't want to come on too strong and lose your audience. ⁣

So how do you walk that line? How do you seamlessly reference the amazing things you've done in your life and career in a way that inspires trust, not mistrust? ⁣

It's a simple 2 step process, my friend, and will take the sleazy bragging out of the equation. Ready for it?⁣

✨ 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗖𝗧: give a couple sentences about you in your intro, framing yourself in service of your client (remember: they really only care about how you can help them). You'll be building initial connection with your audience as the solution to their problems instead of trying to ram your awesomeness in their face. Stay away from the "verbal resume" and it will be much easier for you and more relatable for your audience. ⁣

✨ 𝗦𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗟𝗘: as you share stories or examples throughout the webinar, use those opportunities to name drop (or stat drop) impressive people you've worked with or results you've achieved. Sprinkling these in over the course of your content will help it go down smoother and allow you to frame your successes around your clients. Your credibility markers will be tied to the stories you're telling (and storytelling is magical for information recall and retention - DM me if you want to nerd out over this!) and will help re-engage any students that start to lose interest throughout the masterclass.⁣
